  • Booking a Custom Tattoo

Please begin by filling out the Tattoo Request Form.

After submission, Cara will review your request to ensure the design is appropriate for fineline work and aligns with her artistic style. Her priority is to provide each client with the best possible tattoo, which means some designs may be respectfully declined if they fall outside her scope.

Requests are reviewed in the order they are received.

Please note: submitting a request does not guarantee an appointment, as availability is limited.

If your request is approved, you will receive an email within 1–2 weeks containing a link to book. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder just in case!

  • Immediate Disqualifiers

    Accutane
Must be off Accutane for at least 12 months prior to tattooing.

    Antibiotics
Must be off antibiotics for at least 10 days before your appointment.

    Bleeding/Clotting Disorders (e.g., Hemophilia)
Cannot be tattooed unless the condition is well-managed and approved by your doctor. A doctor’s note is required, and approval on my end is not guaranteed due to safety concerns.

    Chemotherapy/Radiation
Must wait at least 6 months after completing treatment before getting tattooed.

Excessive Scarring Conditions (e.g., Keloids, Hypertrophic scarring)
    Ineligible for tattooing.

    Nursing
Ineligible for tattooing until nursing is complete.

    Pregnancy
Congratulations! Please schedule your appointment once you are no longer pregnant or nursing. Tattooing is not permitted during pregnancy.

    Sunburn
Must wait until the sunburn is fully healed before tattooing.

    Gray Areas

    Autoimmune Conditions, Diabetes, HIV, Hepatitis
May experience slower healing and a higher risk of infection. Please consult your healthcare provider if you're unsure.

    Blood Thinners (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen)
Avoid non-prescribed blood-thinning medications for 24 hours before your appointment. If you are on prescribed blood thinners, you must have doctor's approval to pause them—please bring or email a note.

    Eczema, Keratosis Pilaris, Rosacea
It’s not recommended to tattoo over active flare-ups, as it may worsen the condition or cause excessive bleeding. If you’re considering tattooing an affected area, consult your dermatologist first.

    Scars & Stretch Marks
Only fully healed, mature scars (flat and white, typically 18–24 months old) can be tattooed over.

Under Doctor’s Care for a Chronic Condition
A doctor’s note is required before proceeding. Please bring it to your appointment or, preferably, email it to: magnoliavibesstudio@gmail.com

  • 2 Weeks Prior – Avoid:

    Tanning (natural or artificial)

Invasive chemical peels or laser treatments in the treatment area

Botox or filler in the treatment area

    1 Week Prior – Avoid:

    Waxing in the treatment area

    Tinting in the treatment area

    Day Of Appointment:

    Do not work out

    Avoid coffee and energy drinks

Refrain from taking ibuprofen or aspirin (they thin the blood)

    Eat a full meal beforehand

Wear comfortable clothing that won’t interfere with or rub against the tattoo placement area

  • You will be provided with an aftercare kit and detailed instructions on how to care for your fineline tattoo.

It's normal for the treatment area to feel slightly tender and appear red immediately after your session. This usually subsides within a few hours. You may also experience light flaking during the first 1–2 weeks—this is a normal part of the healing process and is typically very mild.

For 2 Weeks After Your Appointment – Avoid:

    Sweating or intense workouts

    Direct sun exposure

    Swimming, soaking, or saunas

Applying makeup or skincare products to the tattooed area

Picking, scratching, or peeling the skin

  • A touchup is not always required, but it may be necessary depending on the healing process.

Fineline tattoos are designed to be as thin as possible, which can make the ink more susceptible to disruption during healing. Factors such as design, placement, skin type, and aftercare all play a role in how the tattoo heals and retains its detail.

While fineline tattoos are suitable for any area of the body, hand and finger tattoos typically require multiple touchups to achieve optimal retention. This is due to the increased exposure these areas have to moisture and daily wear. Please keep this in mind when booking tattoos for your hands and fingers.

To request a touchup, please email a healed photo of your tattoo to:
    magnoliavibesstudio@gmail.com
